February Affirmations

February Affirmations

It’s February! Black History Month (even though that’s all year), the month of Love (same here), and my birth-month (had to throw that in there)! February comes with a few different elements, especially if you live where I live, or in a place like it. February is usually when Winter pulls out her dancing shoes and really shows out. It’s a change from what some of us perceive as comfort (via not being in the blistering cold) to very uncomfortable. Along with the elevation of intense weather, the month of February, for me, brings the change in my age. I’ve yet to have a year when I wasn’t happy to grow a year older, but it certainly does bring a lot of insight on how things have changed. Okay, I’ve said the word several times now, so let’s just get into it. This month’s quote:

“Change is not merely necessary to life. It is life.” -Alvin Toffler

What a word. This month’s theme is embracing change. We cannot always control the ways things change, but we can always control our reaction to change. We’re either rolling with change or resisting it. I find that the former makes for a better time on this ride called life. Of course, some changes are much more uncomfortable than others, but all change is worth a positive shot. Use this month to embrace what’s changing in your life (yes, including the cold). If you’re undergoing a change that you perceive as unpleasant, start thinking of ways to incorporate some comfort to your discomfort, if that change is necessary. Pat yourself on the back for the ways you’ve rolled with change. It’s not always easy, but it’s for your highest good. So, if you’re doing that, you should be proud.

Here are some affirmations to get us in tune with embracing and Loving all of life as it changes.

I welcome and embrace change as it comes.

I let go of any rigidity in my thoughts or beliefs.

I am open to new sources of information and inspiration.

I easily adapt to life’s changes.

I always have a plan and that plan is always flexible.

I always have room to learn new points of view.

I am thankful for the ways that I continue to change and grow.

I easily find comfort in uncomfortable spaces.

I change alongside life, I do not work against it.

I am in perfect flow.

To the beautiful changes that are to come. May you grow this month and Love every bit of it.
