September Affirmations 2022

The thing I’m finding myself most grateful for these days is perspective. I have some days when I am absolutely overwhelmed with positive emotion. It’s an all over sensation type thing. My whole body is impacted by it. It’s one of my favorite feelings in the world. Sometimes, it makes me cry. I find myself not even knowing what to do with all that energy.

I know these highs hit the way they do because the lows don’t play. I’ve felt pretty shitty, but those shitty moments have offered me perspective.

“There are some things you learn best in calm and some in storm.” -Willa Cather

The storms may be rough, but they are always meant to be. Even if, for some reason, we came out of those tough times having learned absolutely nothing, the next good feeling would be euphoric. That, to me, is so worth it. So, for that, I welcome each phase, the light and the dark for the work being done on me throughout each process.

Here are this month’s affirmations:

I have dark times to thank for my compassion.

I am grateful for gaining perspective.

I’ve never had a bad time I didn’t learn from.

Even in low moments, all is well.

I may not see it in the moment, but all things are working for me.

I am my amazing self because of what I’ve been through.

I send us all into this month with so much Love. May every dark time come with a lesson, some perspective, and every light time fill you up until you overflow. Happy September!
